The Central library spreads over to ground plus two floors. It is centrally air-conditioned, well-protected with fire alarm, Flap Barrier and CCTV surveillance. It has specialized collections of Books, Journals & other resources in Sciences, Engineering and Technology, Humanities, Social Sciences and Management ranging from printed books, e-books, back volumes and CDs DVDs. The Central Library subscribes to national and international journals in print and e-Journals. The library has a video conferencing facility and NPTEL video courses, EPG Pathashala, Swayam Program and other E-Learning resources initiated by Government of India. Central Library is using Easylibsoftware for Library automation and implemented RFID technology with self-issue and return kiosk,and online renewal facility.

The NIT Library is housed in an independent building spread across two floors with a reading area that can accommodate over 100+ Readers. Its collection, development policies and information services are mandated by the Institute's teaching objectives system.

NIT has well-equipped games and sports department under charge of physical director of Navodaya educational trust. Students are encouraged to play various indoor and outdoor games and sports. Students are encouraged to participate in competitions held across country and outside country. NIT conducts sports and games as a part of college annual technical festival NITOTSAVA. NIT Students participated in university, state and national & international level tournaments.
