About T&P Cell

  • Navodaya Institute of Technology has authored and set many examples of yeomen student centric initiatives.
  • One such initiative is the Department of Training and Placement. The Institution firmly believes that placements are the major benchmark to the performance of the institute.
  • The placement cell was started in the year 2012 and this cell is the nodal center and an integral part of the institution. 
  • The Centre has very active linkages and collaborations with industry and this will helps the students in pursuing their career interests and also assists the employers in achieving their hiring goals.
  • The vital roles of the Centre is to groom and shape the students and make them industry ready by imparting necessary skills and training.
  • More than 50 reputed companies visited to our institution for campus recruitment annually.
  • The Centre provides value added services like personal interview, analytical, quantitative, reasoning, mock tests, and team spirits and enterprise dynamics as part of their pre-placement training.
  • It also facilitates a web portal service to students to take up simulated online tests. The Centre offers complete state-of-the-art physical, communication and computing infrastructure for its effective functioning and best arrangement necessary to facilitate the officials and companies visiting for placements.
  • Our highly skilled and dedicated staff will deliver precisely planned services to the student community and companies.
Invitation-On Campus drive

Placement Process:

  • The placement office shall communicate, network and build relations with potential recruiters. Students seeking placement shall register for the campus placements.
  • The placement office confirms his/her registration, participates in pre-placement visits to the companies and conducts grooming and training of the students for better placements.
  • Send invitation to potential recruiters to visit the Institute and procure relevant details regarding the final placements. Respond to recruiters’ intention to participate.
  • The placement team communicates the dates for campus visit for each recruiter by considering factors like student preference, job profile, etc.
  • Companies are encouraged to give pre-placement talks before the commencement of recruitment process.
  • The companies conduct different rounds of selection process (aptitude test, group discussion, personal interview, HR and others) and inform the names of selected students to the placement department, which in turn shall inform the concerned students of the same.
  • The placement office conducts general follow-up, joining formalities and other administrative activities.

Placement oriented Trainings

Aptitude

  • Aptitude skills are imparted in NIT-R in a systematic approach. Entire aptitude syllabus is divided into six modules and these modules are thought from 3rd Semester to8thSemester for all disciplines.
  • Aptitude teaching & assessment classes are incorporated in the regular time tables.
  • T & P Cell continuously work for adoption of changes in the aptitude syllabus by interacting with the recruiters.

Communication skill

  • A sophisticated English communication lab with 40 computers and needed softwares is established especially for enhancing the communication skills with the students. Learning & assessment classes are incorporated in the regular time tables.

Industrial Training Program

  • 3rd& 4th year students will be trained in their thrust areas for getting the placement immediately after the completion of the course.
  • These training programs will be conducted for 30 days in phased manner for both third and final year students hiring experts from reputed industries and getting projects from various industries.

Programming skills

  • Institution level program club is established to enrich the program skill with the circuit & non-circuit branch students.
  • For the circuit branch students, respective programming language training will be given, whereas for non-circuit branch students their department related software will be identified and trained them.
  • This program club is held by senior CSE faculty members for continuous monitoring.

Alumni Interactive sessions

  • To inspire and motivate the aspirants for the job/higher education/entrepreneurship by inviting the repute alumni, interaction sessions will be conducted for reaching their goals right from 3 semester onwards. Alumni also helps the institute to adopt any innovative methodologies for effective T-L process and also give the information about the latest softwares/technologies adapted by them in current days in  industries.

Personal Development Program

  • Students will be trained by the experts related to various elements of personality. In these sessions, students will be trained on various PDP elements like confidencebuilding, resume writing, expressive skills, attitude, behavioral aspects, etc.….
