Department of civil engineering in association with Navodaya Civil Engineering Students Association (NCESA) Organized One Day Guest Lecture on The Role of Internship in Students Placement at NIT Auditorium Raichur. Total 40 participants UG Students of the department are participated in this event. The major purpose of conducting this guest lecture to give an insight to students on role played by internship towards student’s placement. The speaker addressed the students on the importance of doing an internship. He also added how importance is for the students to take up various certification courses in the field of technology. He also created awareness on highlighting the placement opportunities on doing internship. Overall the session was the opening insight for the student’s fraternity. Students were greatly benefitted from this session. Faculty members were also highly benefitted as indirectly. Finally students thank the management, Guest Lecture Committee and IQAC for organising such a useful event at large.
Objectives if the session:
- To help the students to understand the importance of doing internship
- To provide insights on the placement approach on successful completion of internship during their study
- To provide awareness on the industry expectations from students
Outcome of the session: Giving the students the opportunity to get to know and understand the importance of internship. Also it created awareness among the students on the placement point of view.
